Adivasi Siksha Rinn Yojana (ASRY):

In the year 2012-13, the West Bengal Tribal Development Co-operative Corporation Ltd. started implementing the scheme named ASRY sponsored by NSTFDC, in which concessional loan is provided to the eligible ST students for professional and technical courses and higher studies. The loan includes expenses towards admission/examination/tuition fee, boarding and lodging, books and computers etc. After the moratorium period (Course period + 1 year or 6 months after getting job, whichever is earlier) within next five years the beneficiary has to repay loan at the interest rate @ 3.5% p.a for female & @ 4% p.a for male. 

Achievement so far:-

• Since inception Rs 7.89 crore have been provided to 386 number of ST students to pursue higher studies.
